Renewable energy news

The Co operative Bank has announced that it is now obtaining 75% of its electricity from renewable sources. It has reduced carbon dioxide emissions per customer by 60% in just three years. The bank's two sites in Salford and another in Skelmersdale are to be powered by landfill gas. Three offices in London and the Manchester head office already use "green" energy, the latter being obtained from the Manchester Ship Canal.
