Father and son given record fine for waste offences

Two men who dumped large quantities of waste in a south Wales woodland were fined a total of £48,000 in December - the highest penalties so far for waste offences in Wales. Several dozen further defendants are facing prosecution following a successful drive by the Environment Agency's Welsh region to combat illegal waste activities.
