MAFF accused of ignoring pollution impacts from cull

Local authorities responsible for air quality have been shut out by the Ministry of Agriculture (MAFF) as pyres burning hundreds of thousands of farm animals release polluting emissions. As the scale of the cull escalated through March, MAFF switched strategy - with backing from the Environment Agency - towards the use of mass graves. Disinfectants also pose pollution risks, and a private water supply in Devon has already been hit.
