Renewables funding still way below historic peak

This year's funding for the Department of Trade and Industry's New and Renewable Energy (NRE) programme will be the highest under the Labour Government, at £18 million. But the allocation is still at only half the level of a decade ago, offering part of the explanation for the UK's poor performance in renewables.
