Tesco fined £30,000 for persistent trolley pollution
Retail giant Tesco has been fined for polluting the river Chelmer in Essex with trolleys which had been abandoned by customers. The court heard that the company was reluctant to install coin-in-the-slot locks because it feared adverse customer reaction.
