DTLR proposes targets to boost market for low-carbon vehicles

Low-carbon technologies would corner 8-12% of the market for new vehicles sales within a decade, according to a target proposed by the Department for Transport, Local Government and the Regions (DTLR).1 But there are concerns that while the draft strategy may encourage efficient hybrid vehicles, it may fail to give a strong push to fuel cell vehicles running on hydrogen.
