Treasury offered ideas for green taxes

The Treasury again faced charges that its environmental taxation programme has lost momentum during a debate in the House of Commons on 7 March. The Financial Secretary rejected the accusation and said that the Treasury remained "in the market" for green tax ideas - and was furnished with plenty during the debate.
