Electronic waste recycling gathers momentum

The leading consumer electronics manufacturer Grundig has launched a scheme in Germany to collect and recycle used electronic equipment. Meanwhile, the Industry Council for Electronic Equipment Recycling (ICER) has been launched in the UK to promote a recycling scheme which does not require retailers to take back used equipment. A report from Warren Spring Laboratory (WSL) has added to the debate.1
