Terms of national GM debate leave Government's advisers unhappy

An innovative national debate on "GM issues" will begin in the autumn. But the Government has reneged on a promise to allow it to cover the results of the current programme of field-scale trials with GM crops. The advisory body which recommended the debate was still divided in late August on whether to support it.
