Long-term water policy strategy disappoints

The long-awaited strategy for water policy promised by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs has turned out to be a damp squib. More a stock-taking exercise than a strategy, it identifies issues such as diffuse pollution and the need for closer integration of water and other policies as priorities, but says very little about concrete measures to address them.1
