Scientists call for precautionary action on chemicals

Human exposure to chemicals which disrupt human or animal hormone systems should be minimised even where there is no evidence of effects, over 60 independent scientists say. The scientists, the Co-op Bank and the National Federation of Women's Institutes have backed a declaration launched by WWF UK calling for tighter controls on endocrine disruptors and very persistent and bioaccumulative chemicals.
