Government consults on national "sustainability" plan

An outline of the Government's proposals for honouring its commitments at last year's Earth Summit and setting the UK on the path of sustainable development is due to be published for public consultation in April. In March, a seminar organised by the Government offered some 100 representatives of environmental groups, business, local authorities and research bodies to air their views on what should be in the official sustainability plan.
