Pitfalls still ahead for BS7750

The pilot programme for BS7750, the new environmental management standard, is almost at an end. While the programme has undoubtedly helped some participants devise improved environmental strategies, major questions about the accreditation requirements for certifiers and about certification procedures remain to be settled - and unless the British Standards Institution (BSI) and the Government get the right answers, BS7750 could end up with a serious credibility problem.
