HMIP tightens up on NOx limits for gas turbines

Stricter standards for emissions of nitrogen oxides from gas turbines have been proposed by HM Inspectorate of Pollution (HMIP).1 The move reflects advances in low-NOx combustion technology, but is expected to be opposed by turbine suppliers and operators of industrial combined heat and power (CHP) plant.
