Global organochlorine bans urged to protect polar ecosystems

Scientists studying the environmental fate of organochlorine compounds believe that many may have to be banned because of their accumulation in polar ecosystems. They have concluded that the evidence supports the theory of global distillation, which predicts that volatile compounds will evaporate from tropical or temperate areas and condense at the poles.
