Birmingham waste-to-energy contract faces court challenge

Birmingham City Council has awarded an £800 million waste disposal contract to two subsidiaries of Generale des Eaux, Onyx UK and Esys-Montenay. But the contract, which includes the construction of an £85 million incinerator, may be challenged in the courts by another bidder.
