ReChem study fails to solve questions about health risks

Persistent claims by ReChem International that its hazardous waste incinerator near Pontypool has not contaminated the locality with PCBs or dioxins have been roundly dismissed by a painstaking study commissioned by the Welsh Office.1 But a full health risk assessment was not carried out to back up the Government's assurance that the contamination poses no risk to human health.
