Minister offers little comfort to victims of petrol pollution

Britain's petrol retailers are coming under the environmental spotlight as evidence accumulates of soil and groundwater pollution caused by leaks from storage tanks. But Lancashire householders whose homes were contaminated by a massive leak from a service station were offered little immediate solace by the Government during an adjournment debate in the House of Commons on 19 May.
