Chemical industry steps up attack on IPC fees

Under growing pressure from industry, HM Inspectorate of Pollution (HMIP) is speeding up its review of the costrecovery charging system for integrated pollution control (IPC). But the proposals are unlikely to satisfy the chemical industry, which is setting its sights on a reduction in the overall cost burden rather than its reallocation.
