Price cut puts glass recycling in jeopardy, say councils

Local authorities have reacted angrily to an announcement by British Glass Recycling (BGR) that prices paid for cullet are to be cut next year. Many believe that BGR is aiming to capture the funds coming their way next April when recycling credits are increased in value - and that plans to expand glass collection will have to be put on ice.
