Marine Harvest fined for water pollution

Fish farm operator Marine Harvest was fined £4,000 on 27 July for polluting the river Lochy in Fort William with fish guts, blood and fat. The company pleaded guilty to the offence under section 30F(1) of the Control of Pollution Act 1974.
