25-year plan's chemicals strategy pledge ‘vague and unambitious’

The government's new plan for the environment pledges to develop a strategy to address the safe management of chemicals

The government is to develop an overarching strategy to address the safe use and management of chemicals.

The announcement was one of the few genuinely new elements of the 25-year plan for the environment, published on 11 January. However, no date has been given for its publication.
