With the publication of its environment plan, the government says it has set the scene for the next 25 years, but are people liking the view?

Mary Creagh, chair of the environmental audit committee of the House of Commons, said: “We have been pushing the government to publish the long-promised 25 year plan for almost two years. I am sure my committee will want to look closely at the government’s proposals and whether they are ambitious enough to protect our waters, air and soil.”
