Cuadrilla has found a “very sizeable quantity” of gas in Lancashire’s Bowland shale.

Cuadrilla announced the discovery on 12 January, the same day as the Court of Appeal dismissed anti-fracking campaigners’ claim that the government’s decision to allow fracking at the site was unlawful.
