SEPA bans decommissioned oil rig towing over compliance concerns

Three oil rigs set to be towed to India and Bangladesh for disposal have been ordered to remain in Cromarty Firth while SEPA investigates compliance with environmental rules

SEPA has ordered that three oil rigs set to be towed to India and Bangladesh for disposal must remain in Cromarty Firth while it investigates compliance with environmental rules.
