Government launches product safety oversight body

Campaigners hope that theĀ  establishment of a new product safety body should improve enforcement of the rules on chemicals in consumer goods

A new government body has set to work on ensuring product safety.

The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS), launched on 22 January, will identify risks to consumers and manage responses to large-scale product recalls and repairs.
