East London set for rush-hour internal combustion engine ban

Drivers of conventional vehicles will be unable to enter parts of central London from March, under local authority plans

The London Borough of Hackney is consulting on restricting access to certain streets during the morning and evening rush hours. Only ultra-low emission vehicles (ULEVs), and others owned by local residents and businesses, would be able to enter from 7am to 10am and 4pm to 7pm.
