Chemicals strategy pledge poses array of questions

The 25-year plan for the environment promised a chemicals strategy, but said little about what this would deliver, Gareth Simkins investigates

The prospect of a government chemicals strategy, as announced in the 25-Year Environment Plan, was welcomed by chemicals campaigners, academics and industry alike. But the plan, published on 11 January, was also criticised for saying little about what the strategy would address.
