Two arrested in nationwide waste crime investigation

Arrests follow ‘extremely serious’ organised crime activity, involving dumping of illegal waste, fraud and money laundering

Two men have been arrested in London in connection with a nationwide waste crime investigation, the Environment Agency has announced.

In a statement issued on 13 February, the agency said that “a 29-year-old man and a 46-year-old man were arrested for questioning in relation to waste crime, fraud and money laundering offences across the country”.
