NIC calls for more action on smart grid

Efforts to allow flexible forms of capacity, including demand-side response (DSR), to engage fully in the capacity market auction must continue in order to help reduce costs and remove barriers for demand flexibility on the grid, according to the National Infrastructure Commission’s annual monitoring report published on 16 February.
