MPs accuse DEFRA of ‘dragging its feet’ over tackling plastic pollution

DEFRA is being slow to tackle plastic bottle waste and pollution, according to MPs on the Environmental Audit Committee

DEFRA is “dragging its feet” over tackling plastic bottle waste and pollution according to the Environmental Audit Committee (EAC).

The committee’s chair Mary Creagh made the accusation on 26 February following the government’s response to the EAC’s recommendations for combatting plastic waste, published the same day. 1
