Mayor of London promotes ecodesign-ready stove campaign

The mayor of London is launching an advertising campaign to coincide with the cold weather snap to urge Londoners who use wood burners to upgrade to cleaner technology. Working with the Stove Industry Alliance and Heating Equipment Testing and Approval Scheme (HETAS), the mayor has contributed £20,000 to an industry information campaign to encourage people to switch from fireplaces and older wood-burning stoves to a DEFRA-approved ecodesign-ready stove.
