Toxicity data missing in 'hundreds' of REACH registrations, finds ECHA

The European Chemicals Agency has again emphasised that it is not being given the full range of data on chemical safety

Businesses have been reluctant to provide ECHA with all the information it needs to check if chemicals require further regulatory action 

Compliance checks of nearly 2,000 substances registered with the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) have shown a lack of data necessary to demonstrate their safe use, the EU regulator said as it launched a report on its work over the past ten years.
