Bottled water contains ‘twice the microplastic content’ of tap water

A study of bottled water has found that many brands contained measurable amounts of microplastic particles ranging from 6.5 to 100 microns. The smallest particles were smaller than a white blood cell while the larger ones were about as big as a human hair is thick.
