PVC plasticiser DINP ‘not reprotoxic’, say ECHA experts

European Chemicals Agency experts have rejected classifying the widely-used plasticiser diisononyl phthalate (DINP) as toxic to reproduction.

The agency’s Risk Assessment Committee (RAC) voted down the Danish proposal, made under the EU’s Classification, Labelling and Packaging (CLP) Regulation, on 16 March.
