Greater Manchester holds summit to push local green agenda

The Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) is holding a green summit today, hosted by the mayor of Greater Manchester Andy Burnham. A key discussion point will be bringing forward the authority’s date for achieving carbon neutrality to 2040 or earlier which would make it one of the most ambitious targets in the UK and Europe.
