Natural England staff will still advise farmers despite loss of administration role

Natural England, like many public bodies, has shrunk in size and stature over the past decade. Its budgets have been slashed, its headcount decimated and its back- and mid-office functions combined with those of the Environment Agency (EA) and DEFRA.
