200m wind turbine plans put forward for Isle of Skye

Plans for the UK’s tallest wind turbine are being opposed by residents of the Isle of Lewis, according to a report in the Guardian. EDF has proposed raising the proposed height of wind turbines for one wind farm which it already has planning permission from 150 metres to 200m. Turbines on another wind farm would need to increase from 145m to 187m, the company said.
