Environment secretary Michael Gove has hired a new policy adviser who has made his name as a key proponent of “green conservatism”.

Sam Hall announced his move on Twitter on Monday. He is moving from his post as a senior researcher at Bright Blue, an independent liberal conservative thinktank and pressure group.
