The government is seeking views on streamlining out-of-date regulations governing nuclear sites in the final stages of decommissioning and clean-up.

The idea is to allow the reuse of former nuclear sites earlier, while “ensuring that the level of protection afforded to the public, workers and the environment remains the same or is improved”, BEIS said in its consultation published earlier today.
