There are now only three weeks left for manufacturers and importers of low-volume chemicals to submit their registration dossier to the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA).

By 31 May, REACH registration must be completed by businesses that either produce or import substances into the EU in quantities above one tonne per year. This includes rare metals, essential oils, pharmaceuticals, vitamins, dyes and their precursors. At least 3,191 substances have been registered so far in the one- to 10-tonne band – tonnage information is kept confidential for commercial reasons in some cases.
