The government has opened a consultation on reforming vehicle excise duty (VED) for vans, with the intention of incentivising the purchase of ultra-low emission models. Meanwhile, the tax exemption for fuel used by non-road mobile machinery could be set to end, with the opening of a call for evidence by DEFRA and HM Treasury.
