An EU court has upheld a ban on three neonicotinoid pesticides that have been linked to drastic falls in populations of bees, dismissing cases brought by Bayer and Syngenta.

The verdict from the General Court of the European Union is an answer to the challenge that Bayer and Syngenta initiated in 2013 against the European Commission after a partial ban on their products.
