Dairy farming is not currently covered by the  Environmental Permitting Regulations (EPR) regime, unlike other forms of intensive farming 

Earlier this month, the Environment Agency (EA) said the dairy sector, responsible for the largest proportion of significant pollution incidents on farms, should to be brought within the the Environmental Permitting Regulations (EPR) regime, which is used for other intensive agriculture sectors, such as pigs and poultry.
