Environment minister Thérèse Coffey has stepped down from her role temporarily while she recovers from an illness, the government has announced

Environment minister Thérèse Coffey has stepped down from her role temporarily while she recovers from an illness, the government has announced.

Her position will be covered by David Rutley, a government whip.

The East Anglian Daily Times, which covers her constituency of Suffolk Coastal, reported that she was hospitalised, suffering from an unspecified infection.
