Cardiff and Nottingham are trialling electric buses for the first time in a move that could significantly reduce emissions and noise on city streets, be less expensive to run and more comfortable to ride.

In Cardiff, a single electric bus has started operating on route 6, running between the civic centre and Cardiff Bay, in a trial set to last eight weeks.
