Events of the past month have brought into sharp focus the potential implications of Brexit for the UK’s green protections. In a much-anticipated consultation on environmental governance arrangements, DEFRA finally fleshed out the details of the government’s plans for a post-Brexit environmental watchdog and its proposals for the legislative basis of environmental principles after the UK leaves the EU (see pages 6-9).
