
Thailand has prohibited imports of electronic and plastic waste, prompting calls for the UK to come up with longer-term solutions.
The country’s Department of Industrial Works (DIW) said last week that its 2,240 recycling and reprocessing facilities will no longer accept waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) or plastic while inspections have been launched to crack down on illegal waste and operators in the country.
