American developers want to turn Coul Links into a golf course

A golf course proposed on a heavily protected nature site would destroy the integrity of rare coastal habitats, according to an international panel of conservation experts.

The World Commission on Protected Areas (WCPA), which is part of the International Union for the Conservation of Nature, has written to the Scottish government asking it to intervene in the planning decision for the 18-hole Coul Links golf course.
