A government commission has called for a radical overhaul of the nation’s system of recycling waste and a new approach to energy generation.

The report published today by the National Infrastructure Commission (NIC) looks at the UK’s long-term infrastructure needs and throws up major differences in the thinking between government and the commission on the UK’s future energy supplies and approach to recycling.
